I must say that I did enjoy it. BUT.....Please answer this

I didn't make my 2:1 ratio. I made a ratio of more 1:3 ratio.

Yeah, right...I can do 2 minutes of anything...uh...okay, I can do one minute of anything but I need a recovery period of three minutes to do it again. :grumble:

I also didn't keep the timing even, I got distracted by one of the trainer at the club who came up and started talking to me when I was in the resting period.

Is this normal? Does it have to be exact? Is there some "invisable bi-law" out there that says in order for you to have any impact on your health you must do this 2:1 and it must consistent?

The bike; 3 minutes gearing up or warming up (I was already warmed up I just did 30 minutes of heavy duty weights).
1 minute (at 10 resistance at `140rph.
Then 2-3 minutes of 100rph at 2 resistance.
(Wait, I used a different bike today, so I'm not sure if that was rph or not. )

This went on for roughly 33 minutes. I got at least six or seven high intervals in though.

I do it in 3 steps (on the treadmill though)...I start with 2 minutes walking @ 4.0 mph.

    Then

1 min jogging at 6.5 mph (a medium to fast jog) for one minute (on the hardness scale a 6 out of 10)
30 seconds of sprinting at 8.0 mph (on the hardness scale an 8.5-9 out of 10)
1.5 minutes of recovery walking at 4.0 mph

I have enough time to recover without feeling like my heart rate completely returns to normal.

I do this for 20 minutes. True HIIT can't be done more than that...your legs should be hurting and you should be exhausted.

If you enjoyed it you didn't do it right.

I love to sweat and get in a good workout. I enjoy cardio. It's the weights that I don't like.

Cool! You answered my question. I was exhausted and my legs hurt! Is that my measurement? I'll take it.
