I tend to have a warped perception on what is funny. But while I have your attention. Why DO I get in trouble in that scenario?

    Because your lady is broken.

I would ask where a person would take "ladies" to be fixed but I fear it may come across as a loaded question

LOL .. that is funny! You can't really fix a lady, unfortunately.

I am still intrigued that the other thread exploded to 8+ pages.

And im a slow learner. I still do it if she says to do it and doesn't care. Its usually something mundane like going to the neighbors for a beer. And I still get in trouble for it.

Then this is a communication problem. If she has an issue with you going to the neighbor's house for a beer, she needs to just say so. If she's saying it's fine, and then you're 'getting in trouble', she's being passive aggressive. Contrary to what the eight-page thread says or not, behaviors like this from women (and men) are not okay and not part of a mature relationship.

P.S. I'm really sorry you get in trouble with your SO.

took me a long time to convince my partner that when i said "whatever" it means that i really don't care...

i think he still freaks out when i tell him he can get on a plane and go hang out with his mate for a few days, and i'd be happy for the peace and quiet.

I don't know why I pushed the reply button, then I hit send instead of back on my phone. Technology rocks.
