Hungrier after cardio or strength training?

I have noticed that my days of heavy lifting cause me to be absolutely starving all day (I work out at 5am). But my days of cardio I am just normal. That *seems* opposite to me....I burn more calories doing my cardio, but the strength training leaves me unsatisfied all day.

What about you? What do you think?
