I've been on a BetaBlocker for 12years now (atenolol)- and will be forever.... since I've taken it for so long, I always forget about it. Been curious about my calories burned via HRM/Body Bugg because it always seemed SO much lower then what MFP or even my common sense tells me.
I ran 10 miles on Saturday (training for my 3rd marathon) and my HRM said I burned 800 calories. However, my MFP friends are clocking the same miles/speed is close/height & weight is close; and they are in the 1000+ calories burned.
I realize my heartrate will never be accurate and Im fine with that. Atenolol is my lifeline & will never be taken away from me- I guess Im just trying to figure out HOW to track my exercise calories if I cant rely on my HRM (and now I have a $100 watch that I guess I dont need?) haha
Any advice/insight would be really appreciated.
Thanks

I'd ask your doctor! They may not know, but maybe they can point you in the right direction.
