I am just getting a low oxalate diet wrapped around my brain. I am attempting to control the amount, size, frequency, of calcium oxalate kidney stones that my body is making, but I know others may be eating low oxalate for other reasons. How are you dealing with the diet? Here are my current grievences:
1. I am totally grieving chocolate! I wonder if I feel that strongly about it maybe it's removal from my diet is all I need to slow down the stone factory.
2. I am struggling to get a grip on what my risk is, ie does one Hershey bar =one stone?
3. Is it reasonable to try and counteract the naughty food with extra water and/or fresh lemon?
4. I think last year I said "no matter what I know eating more veges can't be wrong." I was so wrong -sigh-
