fried mushrooms

I loooooooooove fried mushrooms!!!

I've been experimenting lately, but just wondering if anyone has any good ideas???

I like a spicy batter, so have been slowly adding more and more chili powder, a little garlic, a pinch of seasoning salt, and a touch of nutmeg and paprika.

Any suggestions?

    I use cajun seasoning to spice my mushrooms up.

    I could eat mushrooms without frying them!

    But my go to Mushroom recipe involves

    1. a saute pan.
    2. a cup of baby portobellas, sliced
    3. Pam spray.
    4. Salt and Papper.

    You know what to do :-P

    The best part is, you can add this to pretty much anything.

    Pastas, salad, sandwiches. Even it them just like that! :-)

    You can fry even jalapenos along with the mushrooms, slice them too. And the mushrooms are all flavorful.
  • Oooh can you share your batter recipe? Every time I have fried mushrooms (I've been wanting to make them, but my experiences with them in school/at bars kinda made me hesitant to attempt it) they are always really soggy and kinda..blech. Do yours manage to stay dry, or is the sogginess kind of to be expected?
