Is it possible?

I had all of my stats checked last night and my body was apparently 55% water.. now i don't drink much, yesterday as an example i had a cup of tea, a starbucks coffee, and a 500ml bottle of ribena, and that is it. So the lady suggested it is probably water retention.

So clearly.. i need to drink more as i know hydration helps you lose weight but i can't stand water :( so i've gone for squash instead.. is it the same? and is it possible to drink too much?

Thanks xx

Seeing as the normal human body typically contains 45-60% water I don't think you should worry about this at all.

Also be aware, that the low end of the scale is typically seen in obese persons as fat tissue / adipose tissue contains LESS water than muscular tissue.

Oh and for the actual question: Is it possible to drink too much water.....yes it is. If you drink enough water you may run the risk of messing with your electrolyte balance and mess with your kidney functions.

But this requires you to really go overboard - as long as you just drink when you are thirsty and don't when you're not you are nowhere near the danger zone.

Sugar free squash will hydrate you the same as water. It does contain aspartame though.... sigh....

everything contains aspartame lol.. i'd rather have that then real sugar as one of the reasons for my weight loss is to try and avoid diabetes as it runs in my family.
