I am curious as to what size weights you use when working out to Jillian Michael DVDS ie 30 day shred, No More Trouble Zones etc. Currently I am using 2.5 lbs and still struggle to complete all the reps on a minority of moves but am wondering if I should go higher to get the most out of my workout and see great results?
Thanks in advance

I changed from 4 to 6 lbs in the beginning of this year and Ive been using them for a month doing NMTZ five times a week. I can do all the reps on the majority of the moves but I want to weight a few more times before moving on the new ones.
What you can do and what I did when I changes was start out with the heavier ones on the first set of each circuit and change to the lighter ones when it gets to difficult. Or then you just start out with the heavy ones from the get go and use them for as long as you can master and track your progress, eventually youll be able to use them with the same ease as the previous ones.0 -
I've been using tins of beans because I am to stingy to buy real weights0

I use 5s up to 10s, depending on the exercise. Every once in awhile I even still pull out the 3's for some things, like those front raises - my arms hate those!0

I'm getting ready to try out 30 day shred, can't wait..and I was curious about the same thing. I'm thinking about buying 3 lb weights and going with that. They're relatively inexpensive so what the heck.0

I use several size weights depending on the specific exercise. Those front raises kill me too and I use my 4 lbs for those. But most of the time I use my 10 lbs. I also use 8 lbs and 15 lbs for any kettlebell type stuff, dead lifts for weighted squats.0

ok i feel so weak compared to you all! I will definitely be getting my hands on some heavier ones.. but will be sticking with my 2.5 lbs for the front raises with side lunge though as they are a killer! thanks.0

I've started with 2lb weights, but will probably go up in a few weeks!0
