there is so much difference in the sodium content on boneless skinless chicken breasts?? It will go from 0 to 350 mg of sodium. Is it b/c there frozen?? Something else?? Need to watch my sodium levels & just realized there was a big difference between brands.

Hi!
When you look on the label, some brands will list something like "Up to 20% sodium solution added to enhance flavor". Different brands have different amounts, and some call it a "flavoring solution" but it all comes down to the fact that there is additional salt-water injected to the meat. By the way, those nice two pound pork tenderloins that are all pre-packaged often have a salt water (or brine) based flavoring solution,
It makes me mad, not only are we getting a bunch of extra salt/sodium, we are paying meat prices for salt water!0
