 For anyone starting out, who's wondering whether it's WORTH IT or not to do this, to carve out time in your day to be active, to take the stairs where you could take the elevator, to cut back on portions and stop eating things that make you binge or sick or just feel unhealthy, IT IS!

I started this journey November of 2011. Within 2 months I was down 20 lbs. I cut out sugar and most white flour, and I tried to make it a habit to walk at lunch time, and to be more active generally. PHASE 1 - weightloss. I'm now down 32 lbs.

What are the differences? There are too many to name. The biggest difference is this:

I WANT to see people now. I WANT to do things. I WANT to get out and enjoy life. Before, I did not want to go out to parties, to events, to SEE people. It was too frustrating just finding something to wear, let alone showing how I'd let myself get so unhealthy. I was ashamed.

I can't believe that I had robbed myself of that, from about 2007 when my weight dramatically increased, to 2011. More than 4 full years of sadness and stress and hating what I could put on to wear. NOW each pair of pants outgrown (they're too big) is a victory - I put them away in the too-big bin. It's getting FULL of stuff!! For each notch on my bra that goes in, as my back shrinks, I am elated. Those rolls of back fat that I thought were just a part of me are GOING AWAY. My FEET even feel better in shoes. I have more energy to walk because I'm not as heavy. I am starting to like how my face looks in pictures.

I am taking responsibility for what I'm eating, what I'm doing, and yes - I am helped along the way by the fact that life's pretty busy right now - but I'm feelling so much more open to life.

My mood has increased a million-fold. My marriage is happier. I am NICER. Not every day, but much more often.

PLEASE TAKE THIS JOURNEY TO TAKE BACK YOUR LIFE. YOU WILL FIND WINNERS HERE - WINNERS WHO ARE LOSING, OR BUILDING THEIR HEALTH, AND WANT TO SUPPORT YOU TOO!! MY FRIENDS HERE ARE A MAJOR PART OF MY SUCCESSES SO FAR. THANK YOU.

Thanks! You've totally inspired me - your before and after pix are amazing, and it's good to see someone fighting the good fight!
Down in the 160's the weight training starts. :)
