Any Crossfitmoms out there?

My doc suggested I look into Crossfitmom for the remainder of my pregnancy b/c I was so bummed about my weight gain despite my exercise and better eating (not perfect eating, but better ). Anyone out there doing Crossfitmom? and how do you like it?

  • I'm not sure you should jump into crossfitmom if you havnt been exposed to crossfit methodology/movements prior to your pregnancy...I have known several women at my gym (CF gym) that have followed the programing during pregnancy and have had great results post partum as far as getting back into shape quickly. However they had been Xfitting for months and years prior to the pregnancy... I'm not a doctor and I don't know your fitness level and experience thus far, but unless you are comfortable moving the bar around your baby bump during a WOD that calls for Power Snatch or Clean and Jerk... I would look for something else. Just my .02

    My doc was familiar with my level of fitness prepregnancy..I did P90X till about 14-15 weeks, and kept up with my own rotation of exercises when my hubby dropped off the P90X train and I didn't want to get up by myself:( Looking at the execises for the crossfitmom, they have modifications for the belly and are less sttrenuous it seems. I'll check it out. Tjis is my 5th baby, so I'm prettyn familiar with when my body says quit :)
