It's hardly new and it's effectiveness is questionable at best since nearly all studies have been done on animals

tell your friends to go "crazy" on a bicycle. Far more effective than any snake oil Dr Oz is peddling.

According to Dr. Oz diet pills are all bunk and none of them work, so you should take these diet pills to burn fat.

very true...though dr. oz seems like hes trying to help, hes still paid to promote items. usually if suppliments do work, you'll gain the weight back after you stop taking them. try to be strong and achieve your goals naturally instead of quick fixes that are only temporary.

Here's what Raspberry Ketones (no Y in there :) ) do. They have some effect in decreasing weight loss when consuming a high-fat diet. It's only ever been tested in lab animals.

The study that Mr. Oz is no doubt referring to proved that mice eating 40% fat for a diet AND had ketones gained less weight than mice eating 40% fat diet without the ketones.

    Important points here:

    1. It makes animals who eat a high fat diet gain less weight then they would have without the compound. This does NOT mean it helps lose weight. Gaining less does not equal losing. (I wish I could make this bold lol!)

    2. In order to see a decrease in weight gain (AGAIN, not weight LOSS, just a decrease in gain!) the mice were fed extremely high doses. The ketones were over 2% of their entire diet. This is not the equivalent of popping a pill in the morning.

    3. It has never been clinically tested on humans.

It's also ridiculously expensive. $20k per kilogram.

    I feel so dumb.
I ran to the internet and bought a bottle.
Oh well, I guess it can't hurt to try it or maybe send it back...?

Don't feel dumb. :) It's not your fault that we somehow can't regulate people like Dr. Oz because he does a damn good job of sounding legitimate. You should 100% be able to send it back, it might take a little effort, but you should be able to.
