Staying Happy during hard times

Options
A few years back I went through a significant depression where I couldnt stop crying all day everyday, couldnt get out of bed, couldn't eat, couldnt get that horrible feeling of dread to go away for weeks! I have found changing my diet and excercising as much as possible especially during the winter months has done wonders for me. I tried medicine which helped but I feel that most of it is a head game and you really are fighting your own worst enemy. Somedays I do feel that dreadfullness trying to creep back in though. Can anyone relate?

Winter is hard. I'm in MI, where it can get cold and dreary and the month of February drags on forever. I find that getting outside for a little bit each day helps a lot. It can be freezing out, but if I walk the dog or go for a run, it lifts my mood. Yes, I think Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is real. Hang in there.

I suffer from SAD also.. get outside and get as much sunshine as possible, even on cloudy days.. Makes a huge difference..
