Jogging with Bronchitis

First let me say that I am NOT an avid runner. When I try to run/jog it is only for a few minutes at a time. I had worked my way up to 5 min intervals of jogging with 2 minutes walking in between for a total of 30 minutes, but then last week I got Bronchitis. It knocked me on my butt for about 5 days. I got on the treadmill today, feeling a little better, but still coughing and I could not jog more than 2.5 minutes at a time. I am supposed to do a 5K on Saturday. It is all flat, but it is starting to feel like springtime around here so the pollen is already out. Any tips on how to make it through and if it will be good or cause more damage to try to jog the 5k?
