Fear of Mushrooms (Mycophobia)

I was enjoying reading the "5 things about me" thread and I thought I'd share this little nugget of info about me as it's very strange and I could not think of 4 more.
I am irationaly afraid of mushrooms. I can not go near them or have them in the same room as me. Every time I see them I imedietly back away and try to leave. Its odd I know they're a vegetable like carrots, cucumber, lettuce ect but, are they? realy?
They are grown as a byproduct of somthing else going off and rotting. Its like having a nice cabbage, forgetting about it for a month and then thinking, "oh, its gone off, and somthing new has grown in its place. It's ok, I'll eat that instead.." I find it bizzare.
I used to have this recuring nightmare where I would fall into "somwhere" and then thousands of mushrooms would grow realy fast all around me and pull me into the earth, terrifying.
When I was 16 I worked at TESCO (Wall-Mart of the UK) in the stock control dept and It was my job to reduce any thing out of date. Needless to say I had to explain to my manager that I was unable to do the mushrooms as I couldn't stand being near them. Embaressing but neccesary. I should point out that its only the actual vegetable itself that scares me, any flavouring is fine i.e. I still like Chicken and Mushroom Pot Noodles.
Well, thats my bit of sharing for today, anyone else got any weird phobias or pet peeves?

Pet peeves? How much time do you have?
In all seriousness, I have an unhealthy fear of spiders. Can't stand them. I about lost it when I learned we probably swallow upwards of 10-12 spiders a year in our sleep. Thought about pulling an MJ and sleeping in a hyperbaric chamber after that.0
