Heart Rate Monitor Suggestions?

I am considering getting a heart rate monitor, however I'm not sure if it is something that is really necessary for me (I'm not a super fitness person or anything, just do my 20-25 mins of aerobics/carido each day). I'm interested to see if the exercise I have been logging via the database is accurate (I assume it is, or at least close, because I have been having wonderful success over the last 4 weeks). There are so many out there though. I don't need anything fancy. I'm mostly just interested in seeing the calories burned.
So, give me details on your HRM (brand, style, price, where you go it - I live in the USA, if you love/hate it, etc) please. Thanks!
