I am a chronic migraine sufferer, and while most of the time there’s nothing I can do to prevent my migraines, ONE of my biggest triggers for causing them is hunger. As soon as I feel like I need to eat I have to put something in my mouth or it’s going to be a bad night.

So I have granola bars and small items in my purse. But the calorie count adds up way too quickly and they don’t last long. Soon I’ve eaten everything in my purse before I’ve made it home. Does anyone have suggestions about portable items that I can keep in my purse?

    Its not as simple as granola bars, but I sometimes snack on green beans or snap peas.

    1/4 cup of almonds (150 cals), 30 pistachios (100 cals), cheese sticks (60 cals), 100 calorie snack mixes/packs found in your snack aisle.

    try the special k bars! only 90 calories and there good!!!! :wink:

    I often have a little pot of blueberries in my bag. That or carrot sticks maybe?

    try cheerios. since they're small, it;ll take a while for you to finish. or try grapes or blueberries.
