What is the difference between eating low carb and high protein diets? And low protein, high carbs?

If I eat more protein, I feel fuller faster. Eating enough protein also helps you maintain your lean muscle mass while dieting.

Yes. Well, that and low glycemic index, that's my diet plan in a nutshell.

Remember, whatever you do you have to stick to for the rest of your life so you don't gain back the weight. That is the general rule of thumb. I did Atkins for awhile, it works, but I could never stick with it. The newest thing that works for me is adding Chia Seed in my life. It gives me fiber without empty carbs and calories from most breads. (i love bread but it is not good for diets). Chia seed also has lot of other health benefits. Look into a high fiber diet, from seeds, nuts, vegetable, and fruits. Also protein helps you feel full like fiber does. If you fill your diet with these then you won't feel hungry as much, be heather, and still lose weight. In the end that's what most fad diets turn out to be.

When you reduce your carbs you will replace them with either fat or protein. I would suggest you aim for high fat, moderate protein and low carbs.
