over or under calorie goal?

Since it is difficult to hit your calorie target exactly everyday, I would like to know...is it better to be just UNDER your calorie goal or just OVER your calorie goal?? Thoughts?

    Doesn't really matter much in the long run. If you're talking about 50 calories, over the course of one year, it might make the difference of five pounds.

    If you're still hungry, eat something else and go a bit over. If you don't feel like you need it, stay a little under. It's not an exact science :)

    Either. If within 50 calories, over or under, I consider "perfect". Within 100 calories, I consider very good.

    I'm with this. I think of it as a target and try to stick within about 50 or 100 calories.

    I just try to stick as close to goal as possible, and if I am within 100 either way then I'm happy.

    once I actually ended the day on 0 left - I was amazed!
