I'm really really excited! Why?! Because I'm within 2 weeks of my original goal (not goal weight, but the first 'mini' goal I set for myself), and I think I may actually do it!!!

On Sunday Feb 19, I have a front row ticket to see The Band From TV ( featuring Mr Hugh Laurie! ), and it also happens to be my 'weigh-in' day, soooooooooo...

I decided back when I started, that I wanted to go looking and feeling better. I decided that I wanted to lose 20 pounds by the concert date. I had also decided that I would take my next front and side pic @ 20 lbs lost. It's looking that both these wonderful things may happen for that day!!!

There's a little less then 2 weeks away and I'm @ 17+ lbs lost!!!!
I CAN do this, and WILL do this!!!!!

I'm so excited! I hope I have some smaller clothes, or maybe I'll have to just get a new outfit for the event!!!!
Fingers crossed that I'll be posting......(nah, scratch that), I WILL be posting my 20 lbs lost/' looking F A B U L O U S' pics SOON!!!!
Wish I could say the same for the concert, but no pics allowed **poopie**

Has anyone else made small goals and/or met them?

    Tyvm!!
  • Small goals are good. I need to get happy first. Any suggestions. Frustrated with myself which in turns leads to emotional eating and then weight gain. Love to hear from anyone!!!

They are good....because they're obtainable (imo). It doesn't make it so big and overwhelming feeling. I put off doing this for the longest time because I thought it would be too hard. The most I've had to lose before was 20-25 lbs.....not 55+ like I do this time.

It is good you recognize that 'harmful' behaviour in yourself. Write down somethings that you enjoy, and so when next time you feel frustrated with yourself, you do that instead of eating.
ie: A show or movie you enjoy, an activity such as swimming or window shopping, etc

If it's a situation where you just HAVE to eat, try to have some 'lighter snacks' ready, or make yourself 'earn' them. (i.e.: You have to have a Timmie's cookie!! >> instead of getting in the car to go, walk there and back)

I hope these ideas help a bit?
There are so many haters out there, you need YOU to stick up for ya  :flowerforyou:
