If anyone is looking for a great training goal, please consider walking in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. This year it is Sunday, Sept. 9 (tentative). I have done the full marathon twice, and the last three times I did the half marathon. I am sure I will do the full again this year.

It's an awesome event. It follows the official route of the Boston Marathon. Each mile is marked by a photo of a child with cancer. The walk ends in downtown Boston at Copley Square, where there's a big party and free food for all of the walkers. It's for a great cause--the Jimmy Fund, which supports the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. More than 8,000 people participate in the walk. It really is an incredible experience.

If you live in the Meriden, Conn., area and want to join my team and meet some walking buddies, let me know. I will be submitting team info in the next day or two. Otherwise, you can form your own team and I'll see you in Boston!!

Please note, though, that this IS a major fundraiser with a minimum per person.

Let me know if you have any questions!!
