As a mom of 3 extremely scrawny girls, I agree that people can be mean to overly skinny people just as much as they can be to overweight people. While the too thin ideal is prevalent in today's society and some people are willing to go to dangerous lengths to get there, there are also people who are just naturally thin and have trouble gaining weight. It isn't fair to say hurtful things to skinny people just as it isn't fair to say hurtful things to overweight people.
The "loving my bones" thing just reeks of ED or body dysmorphic disorder to me though.0 -
for some reason i'm not feeling this.... i think i am too quick to judge.0

Yea my husband is very very lean, and he eats more then me!
so I know there are girls that are naturally skin and bones.
As long as your eating your good, and all shapes have their won beauty and all shapes have their advantages and disadvantages0 -
"Hardgainers" are different from some of the active ED kids on here.
I'll judge if you are eating 500cals a day and 13 of your friends say "good job!" because they are idiots!
But if you are like most of my friends who eat 1600-3k a day to be healthy then hats off!0 -
yeah Im not one of these overly skinny/boney people - but some people are... i think it is wrong to criticise and say they have an ED just because they are very thin... obviously if people are straving themselves to achieve this then it deserves scrunity... it is wrong to call someone 'fat' but people are quick to judge skinny people and publicly call them gross/underweight etc... in my eyes fat and eating 3000 cals per day is just as bad as someone very skinny eating 500 cals... overweight is just more socially acceptable ... im all for being healthy no matter shape and size... just liked this for a little perspective0

I haven't noticed being fat being any more acceptable than being skinny- people will be rude and hurtful to both sides. I haven't seen tons of skinny people on websites like people of walmart and the like. I think both sides are judged- especially if it's a woman. We have to please everyone all the time donchaknow lol
I do love the idea that's gaining popular ground that inside those bodies we judge there are PEOPLE with feelings and basic human rights.0
