    This is my v-day fantasy...

Go out, looking hot as hell, get all my drinks bought then pick one hot guy, the quiet sorta shy one, and bring him home and have my way with him.. all.night.long. Happy V-day to me.

But I'm too chicken poop. I'll probably hang out with friends and get drunk. Ha!

Dont be so down on being single. Make the most of your own life and be happy with yourself.
Make it a pamper me day or just ignore it. I have done that for years even when I was in a relationship.. My ex had NO romantic bones in his body whatsoever!!
Its up to you to love yourself.. If you dont who else would?? So learn to love yourself..

It's really just another day whether you have someone special or not. If you are with your someone special, you should love each other every day, and show your love for each other every day, not just one day a year. Don't sweat it. It's also a very fattening day...so we're better off without it. :drinker:

Meh, when I was with my ex (5 years) it never was a production so I just ignore it now, honestly. Just another day of the week to dodge the chocolates!

Probably hang out with my single friends. It's my first Valentine's day alone in like 10 years so I'm kind of new at this. Not live I've ever really done anything speical for the day anyways.

Love doesn't have to be about loving someone else or someone else love you, that is easy. The true challenge is loving yourself. I am single and there are lots of people in my life that love me so Valentine's Day will be spent showing me how much I love me, the person that I am, and the person that I am becoming. I have set my 100 lb weight loss goal for that day. I am going to have myself an amazing dinner, and follow it up with an awesome massage at the spa. I have worked so hard on this journey and I love me more than anyone else could possible love me in this world. Time to celebrate that. I might even surprise myself with my own Valentine's Day card! lol

I'll name one of the elliptical machines at the gym I find and then I'll use her like a street tramp. ;-)

it's lifting day at the gym so that's where I'll be. Maybe I'll woo myself later with a shower, chocolates and....homework.

Simply another day created by St. Hallmark to stuff the offering of the Church of Hallmark. Don't believe the hype. Very low key day if at all around my home. Honestly you should treat your partner special every day of the year w/o feeling pressured to buy seriously overpriced flowers to impress her colleagues at work and/or fattening candy!

Wellllll,, Im not single, divorcing lol, so it is going down as a very high point in my valentine's book LOL, however I will be spending it with my 3 kiddos as well as possible something else if I get a good idea off of this thread :), but yeah, this one is going down being marked as a depressing one, I am not looking forward to dating again..guys have slowly gotten less and less mature it seems, gonna be rockin single mama status for a while ;) so might as well jot down some of these ideas for the next ones :drinker:
  • Ignore it as I do every year! I probably still would if I was in a relationship too!

I don't think it's right that people need a particular day to tell others that they love them! They should tell them everyday!

    hear hear!

it's just commercialized propaganda bull...it keeps card shops, florists, and candy stores in business...me thinks.

    excuse my pessimism

Get wasted and perform voodoo on all your ex's?

    Now that's funny.

Too commercialised for me, whether or not I'm single at the time. Most of my coupled up friends only seem happy on that one day anyway and the rest of the time they're complaining that I have it easy, being single and free to do what I please, when I please :) I keep reminding myself of that when I'm out exercising while everyone else is canoodling on the sofa lol

 canoodling  sorry been married a looooong time and that word really makes me laugh  oh to be single and do what you want, when you want without having to consider another, bed to yourself heaven, go out when you want, come home when you want :drinker:

the grass is always greener isn't it

^makes me value my singledom!!! but heck, i've been single for the better part of my adult life save a few short-lived relationships. i'm excited for my future (unknowns/knowns/etc.) but can't wait to meet my ONE.

Why is it the worst day ever? It's just a day. Who cares?

I will treat it like I would any day. That day happens to be a gym day. I'll go to work. I will come home. I will go to the gym. I'll have a protein shake for dinner. I'll work on some music I am writing. To appease the valentines gods I'll get some nice lotion... ;) heh

Last year was the worst after being married for 11 years to a hottie. Hopefully this year the Scotch doesn't call the shots, probably have a romantic dinner with the most beautiful 3 year old daughter a dad could ever ask for :)

    Singles Awareness Day?

I'm gonna make a whole bunch of cookies/candies and give them to my friends to make them FAT! (ha ha just kidding... about the fat part).

It'll be just another diet/exercise day. Maybe I'll actually let myself eat one of the cookies I make.

But, I'm definitely gonna pick up some of those little conversation hearts when they go on sale on the 15th :D
