Daily Calorie Intake

I've just started using the MFP app this week and have currently set myself at 2,000 calories per day. I'm about 21 pounds heavier than I need to be and want to lose it steady rather than too quickly.

I work in an office all day and commute an hour at either end. No real time for exercise as new baby etc

Am I still too high at 2,000 calories for a bloke?
