Hi everyone,

I do eat some veggies/fruits in my day, but often don't find it very filling.. Do any of you have suggestions of good snacks I could eat that have low calorie and sugar??

Thanks =)

    Try hard boiled eggs (90 cals), Emerald raw nuts (100 cals/pack), Fiber bars (90-200 cals depending on brand), Yoghurts (cal vary depending on brand).

    Snacks containing protein and fiber will fill you up more than those containing carbs and sugar.
  • I personally like to have some all natural peanut butter on celery, sliced tomato with some lemon pepper on it, boar's head ham with light cream cheese & chives rolled up in it, hard boiled egg, protein fruit smoothy...
    Hopefully, these might help...I'm interested in what others post as well. :)

    I am finding that sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds are good for me. If you eat them one at a time a little lasts a long time and washed down with a glass of water seems to work for me. (Well at the moment, next week I may have to try something else)
  • Hi,

    I find that a little protein goes a long way. A tablespoon of peanut butter on celery sticks or apple slices. Babybel light or Laughing Cow cheese and a few Triscuits. A boiled egg. A few slices of thinly slices of deli ham or turkey. I find these kinds of snacks last longer. But i notice that if i include a little protein with each meal, i rarely need a snack between meals.

    When I'm having a sweet tooth I grab an All-natural fruit strip (stretch island fruit co.) from Costco :)

    4. Frozen Banana (peel it first, stick in the freezer overnight- it's like a yummy popsicle)

    When I was really young, not even in high school yet, I heard that frozen bananas were great. I didn't take the peel off. So it didn't go so well. lol

    Bump because of that list - great ideas!
  • McGann's makes a great instant Irish oatmeal in a 100cal pack.

    It's unflavored but a little cinnamon, Truvia, sugar free maple syrup or the like and you are good to go! I find that that plus a full glass of water keeps me pretty full a bit. There's almost no sugar and better yet only 80mg of sodium!!

    :D
