Does Anyone own a Chihuahua?

Does anyone here own a Chihuahua or a small breed dog... my princess (yes she really truly things she is a human princess) is 9.5 pounds and 2 years old... Well I live in an apt and she barks at everything when I'm not there. My disabled father lives with me as well so I've created a monster because she has never and I mean never been left alone at the apartment by herself. Well now I want to find a way to control the barking. I do not want the shock collars but was thinking maybe a citronella spray collar? Anyone have any advice?

    I have 2. Yes they love to bark!! It sounds like your dog might have seperation anxiety. One of my other dogs(not a chihuahua) whines everytime we leave. We put her in her crate with a treat. She will whine for a minute then eventually stop. But google seperation anxiety dogs, and I am sure you will get lots of training tips!
