I'm only one week in using this. I'm wondering if the daily calories goal automatically decreases as you lose weight?
Thanks for the help!

When I lost my first 10 pounds MFP suggested that I change my calorie goals and directed me to change them. So not quite automatic but almost.0

I adjusted mine when I lost 5 lbs, and I'll do so again once I lose this last pound!0

^^Yup^^. You can also go in and manually decrease it if you'd like.0 -
no, after each pound I lose I do a custom goal change, I tweek the numbers until I just cross the 2.1 per week level and then add one calorie at a time until this brings me to the 2 pound per week level,
this is arbitrary though,
since I do not believe in starvation mode, at least not for real fatties like me,
I am still am obese so the fat is easier to release I think,
I have maximized my nutrition and would suggest this to anyone with very low calorie limits,
I am also a volume eater so I needed choices with large munch value0 -
You need to go in and change your weight under goals, and then yes it will recalculate. If not it will stagnate.0

I don't think it does go down, unless you are above 1200 DCG, say 1400-1300 then it may go down to 1200 in 10-20lbs. But if you are at 1200 DCG then it should stay because that is right above a healthy calorie daily intake.0

Oh, if I change my weight every week after weighing in, will it still keep track of total weight loss, even if I change my weight every week so it will re-calculate my daily calories?

Here are some simple guidelines to follow as you lose weight. The closer to your goal, the smaller the deficit needs to be.
If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal, and
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal.0
