Rowan Atkinson (speaking of Black Adder) is among those who 'top' the British humour list! :0)

Ok...oops, I spelt it wrong though (been awhile!) I think I'll have to re-watch some of these myself (and check out Absolutely Fabulous!) Thanks!

I think my fav as a kid (early to mid 80's), was Benny Hill, and Mr Bean!

Some good British comedies, if anyone is interested. Although You certainly can't go wrong with Fry and Laurie and Blackadder.

Peep Show, Nathan Barley, The IT Crowd, Brass Eye, The Day Today, Garth Marenghi's Dark Place, The Mighty Boosh, Father Ted (Irish), Red Dwarf, The Office (UK Version!), The Young Ones, Bottom, I'm Alan Partridge, The League of Gentlemen...I could go on but I'll stick with those for now. I imagine British humour is a bit odd to anyone who is new to it, as it is traditionally, dry, severe, sarcastic and also often surreal.

I wanna add a couple to that list... Spaced, Black Books and Green Wing.
Peep show is amazing... if there's one thing us Brits do well, it's awkward comedy :)

I don't see anything funny in this. It is very similar to my regular weekend wear (I tend to wear a three piece with bowler hat weekdays).

    Recommend:

Blackadder - yes, especially series 2 and 4
Red Dwarf - personal favourite, everything except series 8 (more than a bit rubbish)
    The IT Crowd
    One foot in the Grave
    Peep Show
Mrs Brown's Boys - Strictly speaking Irish not British

I was waiting for someone to mention League of Gentlemen. "YOU'RE MY WIFE NOW, DAVE!"

You COULD go on, but that list is pretty much perfect (except it's missing out on Shaun Locks criminally underrated 15 Stories High, if you haven't watched it before by all means DO!)
