New Diet I am reading about

I was curious if anyone has ever heard of or has tried a diet similar to one my doctor was telling me about. I am extremely overweight, my 3 month sugar level is high (so I'm at risk of getting diabetes), my hormones have been a wreck since I had my baby, my thyroid is just now getting to the right level. So he suggested I read this book called Fertility Foods and try the diet. I'm half thru the book, and 2 days into the suggested diet.
Basically you calculate your lean body mass, than multiply lean body mass by 60% and that is equal to grams of protien you need for the day. You eat same number of protien and carbs, under 1500 cal and 25 grams of fat. So if your lean body mass is 125 you are allowed to eat 75 carbs and 75 grams of protien. Day 2 and I'm still a little over to make me full. O and your supposed to eat 5x a day to keep your metabolism going and not fasting for to long at night. Anyway today when looking for food ideas I came across an article that they were told after baratic surgery if lean body mass was 125 then you ate 125 carbs and 125 grams of protien.
But the major kicker is you have to balance them at each meal!
I would love to hear from anyone who has tried, had sucess with, or even heard of this diet. Any meal ideas?
Thanks for the support!
