So i went to Applebees last night and ordered their under 550 calorie dijon chicken meal. It was soooo good! and i'm thinking is this true that it it's under 550? I was very satisfied with the taste and the amount of food. Anyone else try one of these meals? and do you know if any other restaurant offer low cal meals?

I've had a few things on their low-calorie menu and its all been good. A good option if you're going out and the portion sizes are good too!0

A lot of restaurants now offer low cal dishes, Elephant Bar. I was at Cheesecake Factory and they have the skinnylicious (something like that) menu and items were under 550 calories. Grilled salmon and veggies.0

I had the steak and shrimp from Applebees 550 menu and I found the meat to be fantastic. I wasn't a fan of the steamed veggies/potatoes-- I thought they were pretty mushy. But I was pretty impressed with how full I was, I didn't even need to eat the potatoes.0

Isn't it nice to know you can go out to dinner and not have to worry over every little thing?!?! I have checked around and there are quite a few options some I have personally tried: Tgi fridays has a dragon fire chicken dish with steamed rice and broccoli that is under 550. Dennys has something called a fit slam which is scrambled egg whites, cherry tomato halfs, turkey bacon, seasonal fruit and a whole grain english muffin and thats uner 400 calories. Outback had a chicken, artichoke flat bread that is under 400 cals. <

Too bad for me the sodium wasn't in line, I'd go for it.0

true, even though the calories are decent, the sodium is ridiculous so its ok now and then but dont do it too much

I worked for Applebees for a long time. The veggies are cooked ahead of time, portioned and then microwaved when needed for an order. And that often makes them mushy. The pasta and sauces are done the same way. Nasty, in my opinion, especially since pasta is so simple to reheat. Just dump the cooked but cold pasta into a pot of boiling water for a minute.0
