Rest days

How many do you take a week and what do you consider a rest day?
The last week I've stepped things up and did 3 intensive Strength work outs, 1 Interval training and 3 days of just walking. I considered the walking to be rest days.

I have one rest day per week. The only thing I do on rest day is abs, no strength or cardio.

I take at least 1, sometimes 2. Rest days are days where I do very minimal exercise (i.e. just take a walk on my lunch at work) or completely rest. It depends on how worn out I am from running and weight training.

Depends on the week but I take off 1 or 2 days. Fridays are a MUST and somedays I'll take Saturday "off" also. However I'm a cleaner at my gym and I walk around for almost 5 hours. On Friday's however, I do absolutely nothing.

I take 2 or 3 but that's for medical reasons. If I was healthy I would take 1 or 2. One rest day a week I'm on recliner-rest- I crochet, play games and keep my legs up. One day is a slow housework day- I vacuum, do dishes and scrub everything but very slowly and leisurely but NO cardio/strength training. If I need another day then I take it- if I overdo it I won't be able to stay out of a wheelchair. Slow and steady for me. :)

I have two "rest" days each week. If I feel I need it, I'll completely rest, but most of the time on at least one of these days I'll still go for a walk and/or do some core work.

So I talked to my Dr about this and he suggested two or three for me. I am starting to pick up activity to a new level and he wants to make sure I don't bring on a flare. Autoimmune sucks! On the bright side he said I am doing better than he expected so he is comfortable with me upping my activity level!

I take 1 rest day per week. Sometimes I'll do the Ab Ripper workout on that day, or ride bikes with my kids, but that's it.
