I've seen a few people say not to get on the scale after you workout...why?...that is when I normally do it so I was just wondering how it may affect the number on the scale?

Thanks!

Your weight will vary at different times in the day, depending on when/what you eat, when you last went to the bathroom, etc. You should not weigh yourself everyday, but if you are, weigh yourself first when you get up and it will be about the same settings every time. It will be the most accurate in the terms of weight changes.
  • yeh I heard it's best to weigh in the morning too the same day each week is what I try to do.

I find there are slight descrepencies between the mechanical scales at the gym and the electronic ones at home, does anyone else find this? which one is likely to be more reliable?

Bah. I weigh myself at the same time *every* day - after I work-out and potty! (ALWAYS after the potty. ) As long as you're consistent, it all works out in the end.
