Getting Started...Again!

I have been on this journey before. I was already overweight. Then I had two children, lost a ton of weight afterwards, got pregnant again, had 2 more children, and now have put it all back on plus some. Unfortunately I have been severely lacking in the motivation department. I finally feel the urge to really kick it into gear, but in 2 weeks my family and I are leaving for Disney World. I know it will be difficult to make healthy choices while we are gone, but I really want to do it this time. I feel like I keep starting over. This time I hope it is a clean slate!

  • I completely empathize with baby-weight. That is what I am trying to lose too. But YOU deserve it. Just because you are going to Disney does not mean that you can only make bad choices. Drink water only (no soda). Eat a big healthy breakfast at the hotel before heading to park like oatmeal and fruit. Pack some whole fruit from the breakfast buffet (apples, oranges, pears) to snack on in the parks so you don't go for a hot dog or a greasy piece of pizza when you need a snack. You'll be walking a TON in the parks so exercise is an easy part of this equation. Just don't negate the exercise with excessive calories. Whatever happens, don't forget that you are worth it!

Just think of all the walking you will be doing!!
  • Everyday, every hour, every moment is a restart because we must keep changing/growning. So, recommittment IS already success no matter how many times you have to do it! Baby steps are all we have at times.
