i know this has been said multiple times before but i felt the need to reiterate that easter candy is hands down the best candy ever!!! you've got cadbury cream eggs and reeses peanut butter eggs. how could you go wrong? (for the sake of my sanity, please don't answer that  )

ok, so the goal is to limit it to one piece per day... easy enough, right?
there's always practice versus theory...

Easter candy is my absolute downfall. I love it all! Not to mention, that none of it comes in single servings. I have to buy a full family size bag of jelly beans, cadbury eggs, reese eggs (yeah, probably one of each) just to (temporarily) cure my craving. SweetTart jelly beans are my current fave. Plus, since it's only available for a limited time, I tend to go overboard... because it will be a whole year before I get to have it again. I know my limits, and (if I have it in the house) eating only one serving of any of these per day is not within my limits.

    Such a love/hate situation...

I have a HUGE problem with sweet tart chewy bunnies.....I MEAN HUGE PROBLEM. I can eat a whole bag at once. Luckily there are only 2 places I can get them around here. I usually get 2 or 3 bags at a time. :noway: Not gonna do it.....well maybe....no not

If you like those, I bet you'd like the Swet Tart jellybeans too... I'm the same way... I can eat a whole bag at a time.

My favorite have to be the candy coated chocolate eggs by Cadbury. I have a bag of them right now that I, thankfully, keep forgetting about. Also, PEEPS!!! I found them in about 7 different colors this year. I almost bought one of each to send to my boyfriend!

I do like the Sweet Tart Jelly beans but I like the Starburst ones better, plus the starburst ones are available all year round at Target.

I don't even buy it anymore, I buy one chocolate rabbit for each child, then I buy them a video game or movie, a pass for the movie theatre along with a coupon for popcorn and pop, then I round it off with bubbles, skipping ropes for the little kids and makeup/cologne for the older ones. and of course a new outfit, I put quarters in plastic easter eggs and hide them around the house, the kids love it!...and I keep my waist line in check!

My kids are 17 and almost 21 and I still make them baskets and hide them. They both still live at home so I make these poems up that start at their bedrooms that send them to another place that sends them elsewhere, etc. They are usually hidden somewhere near where they started in the first place but I like watching them run around. My daughter has a steady boyfriend now (almost 2 years) so he will have to endure the basket searching thing. I love torturing my kids

I wholeheartedly agree. I just finished chopping a big white chocolate bunny into single servings and baggin' them up. They are chillin' in the freezer until I get a craving.

OMG I  Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs like NO OTHER! They are by far my absolute FAVORITE!!!

I've been VERY good this season though and I have not had a single one which is pretty amazing for me since I could totally eat the whole package of 6!:grumble:
  • I'm actually not much of a chocolate person anymore but I do have one cadbury cream egg at Easter, it's a treat and will do me till Christmas .. I'm also a weirdo, I like to freeze the egg before eating it LOL

I'm so proud of myself! I went to the grocery store last night, and picked up a single Reese PB Egg and put it in my cart, instead of the 6-pack. Then, I thought really hard about it and put it back! I finally said NO to Easter candy... I think this is a first for me. :drinker:

I can say no :noway: to the Cadbury eggs, the Reeses PB eggs, jelly beans and chocolate bunnies..... BUT.... whip out the Robin's eggs, and that's where I can't say no! Mmmmmm.... malted goodness... I think it's the texture that gets me.

I used to work for DeBrand's Fine Chocolates. It is local but they mail worldwide. I worked in the kitchen actually making the chocolates and also in the retail stores. Believe me, you get sick of seeing and smelling it to the point that I don't even crave it anymore. Now if I could just get a job working for the sweet tart gummie bunny company I would be good.

I love cadbury eggs, peanut butter eggs, mint chocolate anything. But guess wahat? I can't eat any of it because I'm allergic to chocolate. :ohwell: I became allergic and I mean deathly allergic to chocolate about 8 yaers ago while eating some M&M's. I don't even miss it actually. Cindy

Sorry to hear that you're allergic to chocolate. Maybe I should convince myself that I'm allergic. Do you think that it will help me stay away from it? I gave up all chocolate for Lent and have not touched a single ounce of chocolate. I'm afraid of what's going to happen after Lent is over. But I've gone through the entire Lent season and have not craved it. Hopefully, that will continue. I feel like an alcoholic, except chocolate is my addiction. I can go forever without eating it, but once I start, I crave it all the time. I guess it's better to just stay away from it.

Well, I made it through Valentines day without eating any candy. Barely, but I did it!!

Easter is gonna be a hard one. Ive actually been avoiding shopping for the past couple weeks just to stay away from it!

My weakness is Robins Eggs.....I like looking through the bag for the chewy ones first and eating those, then sucking on the rest, which always makes my tounge sore by the time the bag is gone.. Just cant resist that malted numminess!

I would have to agree....it's the only candy that you can't get any other time of year. Unless you count santa shaped chocolate at christmas time, but really it's just chocolate.

I love cadbury creme eggs, and peanut butter eggs, and coconut eggs, and peeps....mmmm, I need to stop. Last year for our first Easter my boyfriend and I got each other baskets and hid them. We decided not to though since my dad is giving us candy and we are low on money. Part of me still wants to scrounge up enough money to put a basket together for him, but it's probably best if we don't have a ton of candy around the house.

I caved... I went out and bought an easter basket for my son last night, and couldn't help but buy 2 bags of candy... of course, my SweetTart Jellybeans, and caramel filled Hershey's Kisses. But, in my own defense, I had some leftover calories last night, and stuck to 1 serving.

I just bought it yesterday. I am keeping it in the trunk of my car. It isn't safe in the house.

I hate candy. Can't barely eat the stuff.
My diet consists of vegetables, fruit, and tofu.

All that candy sugar makes my teeth hurt.

Mmm... Stale Peeps are the best!

I also love black jelly beans, which can be a challenge to find. (Everyone I know really hates them and always chides me for eating them!) Found some today, though! I plan to bag them in individual size servings tonight. They always last me forever since I know I won't find a bag again until next year.
