Yes, that's why they put caffeine in diet pills.

Nope, I don't think it suppresses my appetite, except for the volume it takes up in my belly at the time I drink it. But it is, however, a non-negotiable part of my day!

Couldn't tell you. I can't remember the last time I went without coffee so I have nothing to compare to.

It's not uncommon for caffeine to act as an appetite suppressant.

Yeah, you can get used to pretty much anything. I used to take Adderall and the appetite-suppressant side effects didn't last very long with that either.

Are you in the habit of eating something with your coffee? Cause sometimes it makes me want donuts.

I don't think it suppresses or increases my appetite in the morning. It does help me energywise though.

It does for me as well.

I don't think it's just the caffeine--at least for me. The other evening I made myself a cup of decaf to sip on, and that quelled my cravings and hunger better than tea (herbal or otherwise) has been doing.

I attended a nutrution class about two weeks ago, they did address this subject......coffee does supress yor appetite. The instructor recommeded eating breakfast before the morning coffee or while drinking it. Skipping a meal & drinking coffee is not good because your body will store the bad stuff because it does not know when you will feed it again.

My gulity pleasure is stopping to get a Mocha Velvet Ice at PJs Coffee and skipping breakfast. Now that I have been eating a healthy breakfast and stopping every couple of days I have started losing weight!!

It does for me. I get up at 4:30AM and have my coffee so by 8:00AM I'm ready for breakfast. On weekends I reverse it so I don't skip breakfast.

Ok glad it's not only me. However I wouldn't consider myself to be a big coffee drinker, I have 1-2 cups a day. I find that if I am hungry around mid afternoon and I have a coffee, it keeps my hunger at bay until I have my supper.

Pretty much any CNS stimulant will act as an appetite suppressant

Caffeine is a very effective appetite suppressant so it isn't surprising that coffee suppresses appetite! One of the most effective, in fact!

um yes caffeine will suppress your appetite, but just watch how much sugar and milk you're putting into it before you think it's a good option. (I love coffee).
