I am set at 1200 to lose 2bls a week. That has not been the case more like 1 lb a week. Wondering if anyone upped their calorie intake or changed goal from 2lbs to 1lb and actually lost more weight? I am about 20 lbs from first goal and about 30 from main goal. I have been overly tired lately and wondering if I might need more calories as well.

At 1200 calories I lost 1 pound per week the first 2 weeks I started this (I started on 1/16/12)... then I upped my intake to 1300 and this week I lost 1.4 pounds!!

do this! same applies for the fellas too. i've upped my calories, haven't seen the scale drop in about three months, but i'm stating to notice these lines around my torso. i'm told they're called "abs."

Are you eating your exercise calories? If not, you should! I wasn't seeing losses until I started eating them back.

Totally eat more...I eat anywhere from 1500-2000 a day and I still lose.

Yes, up your calories. I was at 1240 and my weight loss slowed considerably. I increased my calories to 1400 and I am back to losing weight at my previous pace. At the lower calorie amount, given my exercise level, my metabolism had slowed. By eating more, my body no longer needs to conserve energy to sustain itself. Eat more!
  • One time when I was dieting a couple of years ago I was stuck on the scale. I upped my calories and carbs and quickly started dropping weight again. I was however exercising a LOT at the time.
