whey protein and fiber

i will be receiving my body revolution by jillian michales in the next couple of days..i was looking into buying her whey protein.....but i also wanted to start taking fiber choice weight management since im not eating alot of fiber....is it ok to be doing those 2 things at once or should i just stick to 1..i know fiber n protein r 2 different things but i just wanna be sure...thanks in advance

    When you up your protein you may experience "digestive issues" of varied sorts. Try the protein powder first and see how you react on the off chance that you won't have the issues. If you feel you need it then you can add in the extra fiber to help move things along.

    if you are on a calorie deficit and you feel like ur hungry... eat ur proteins instead like chicken,tuna etc.. same cals as protein shake but more protein in it and is a better source...

    now "disagestive issiues" is you get gas at first when u start protein shakes but goes away... a good way to lower the gas is just mix ur shake n let it sit for 2 min then drink it...

    fiber is a must in a diet!!! istead of going for actual fiber supplements etc eat whole grain foods, switch breakfast cereal to a wheat shreddies, add ground flax seed to everything(has healthy fats very high fiber 4g protein per serving and it actuly tastes good.. like seasoning almost with a nice nutsy taste)

    Just a heads up: I didn't find Jillian's whey protein to be that great. It doesn't taste too bad but it doesn't mix well at all so you're left with globs of yuck. There are other powders out there with a better calorie/protein gram ratio that actually mix.

    i tried flax seed once before and honestly i was constently going to the b.r and it wasnt even the recommended dose of ground flaxseed....is that normal with flaxseed...should i give it another go ?

    its normal with flax seed... as its high in fiber... but ur stomach gets used to it.... "recommended" dose on the bag is 1-2tbsp a day... im eating about 4-6 times that amount...

    yea i was only doing a tbsp a day and i felt like my body was detoxing so i got scared and stopped it...but that was yrs ago...sowhat do u recommend the whey protein or flax...

    imo for girls already on low calorie defecit... so theres no point for protein shakes... protein shakes are round 120cals 30g protein... you eat a chicken breast it will be 150cals and 40g protein.. it will make u feel alot fuller like u had a meal...

    so if you want something extra then flax seed... gives u healthy fats, healthy carbs, proteins and high fiber... so its all u need..
