Ok, so as some may know that last 2 weeks have really been rough on me. Starting with 19 days ago I quit smoking. That following week my fiancee lost his job. From that day forward my diet has been not as good as it should and my exercise damn near knill. 2 weeks ago this Thursday my fiancee was stabbed.......and he quit smoking. $$$$$$ is so tight right now, we are still trying to catch up with March rent and can't begin to think of Aprils. The hypnosis I am happy to report worked.....we both still do not smoke. And my hypnotist offered me a 4 session series for weightloss. So I start that next week.
I have been jumping between 232 and 235 for 4 weeks....hence the change in my ticker, until I get out of 232 I will keep it at a 15 pound loss not 18...best to be honest with me.
I got on the Gazelle tonight and used to be able to do 55 mins, and tonight could not do more then 12.....so............can ya all kick me in the *kitten* please. I have been staying in my cals, but have had fast food 5 times in the last 3 weeks, and though I chose to eat the happy meal (530 cals) I still don't want to do that.
I have missed ya all by the way!

Sounds like your butt's getting kicked by both yourself and life - I highly doubt you need us to add to it!
Sounds like life's nasty, and you're dealing with it not in the best/ideal way, but you're certainly making better decisions than many would. Be proud!
But if you have the time to write here/ read responses... do 15 minutes a day. JUST 15 OF EXERCISE A DAY. If you can do more, good. If you can't do 15 minutes, you're lying to yourself. Don't let yourself down. Keep struggling through it, and you'll make it.
Go do it. Now. And welcome back! Hope your man's okay...0 -
You need some love, sugar. Just some love! We are here with you....
all you need is love! Altogether now....

sassie, you've had a lot thrown at you in the last few weeks. be proud that thru it all you and fiance stopped smoking! that in itself is a huge accomplishment. :drinker:
and you have lost weight--you can do this!! maybe if you pre-make snacks/meals so you can grab and go w/o having to rely on fast food? don't carry cash so you can't buy fast food? or plan for it one time a week and that's all?
i know it's not easy doing any of this. but you are obviously strong-willed and will succeed with time. keep at it!
and well wishes for your fiance's recovery.

You don't have to get through everything all at once..just get through the next 10 minutes. Then the next. Then the next. YOU CAN DO IT! WHOHOOOOO!!0

I'm so sorry to hear all that but it sounds like your working hard to stay on course. I'm also an ex-smoker- quit in August- and without being too discouraging I have read a few studies that suggests nicotine artificially elevates some people's metabolism. Quiting smoking may then bring your metabolism back to its normal state, hence part of the reason for weight gain for some people (I gained 15 lbs). I think your bod's biochemistry will re-adjust though after some more time as gone by and as long as your exercising and eating your right calories you should be okay- your body is probably just trying to "realign" itself since you quit. Keep up the hard work and I really hope you and your boyfriend see the other end of all this very soon.:flowerforyou:0

Thanks ya'll, went shopping and won't be hitting the fast food places anymore as the stress is starting to calm now. And honest now that my honey is back to work, that helps. For some reason when he is home I am less likely to work out, that sucks.
So I am doing Bob 's 20 min workout tonight. And then back at healthy tomorrow.........
You all are great. And please know that I make NO EXCUSES for my bad behavior, just the way it goes. I am not a negative Nelly.......this is just one of those things. As long as my honey is alive and well all the rest does not matter.
Thanks again ya'll :flowerforyou:0 -
Wow! It is seriously raining on your parade! And yet, you still aren't smoking! WTG Girl!!!!!
It sounds like things are looking up, and you are getting back on top - though you never really seemed to have slipped very far off! I am with angelinaz - know you are among friends!0
