True or Myth? I've heard they are a good healthy snack food but it has such high fat content.

Get the dry roasted ones, still in the shells. Slows you down, so you can't have as many and no added calories. But, yeah! They are a healthy snack! They have healthy fats in them.

Yes, they are. Sunflower oil is a very healthy fat. It will keep you full and raise your HDL levels.

Some fats are healthy, and even essential.

I love them. A good serving size is 1/4 cup and it takes awhile to eat them! :)

I LOVE them! I buy the big bags and when I get them home measure the whole bag out into containers or small bags based on one serving. I buy them in the shell since it takes more time to eat and therefore I eat less of them.

I usually bring a container of them with me to work and snack on them throughout the day while I'm in my office checking emails, doing paperwork, watching cameras, etc.

Yeah, the seeds are pretty healthy....lots of vit E, thiamine, manganese, selenium, magnesium etc. Sunflower oil on the other hand is pretty much an omega 6 that has been refined, not the best thing to be consuming as an oil for daily use. Most people need less veg oil in their diet.
