No really, is there such a thing? I haven't been able to lose much these past couple weeks, and I can't figure out why.

  • I'm wondering the same thing, so will be interested in the other replys. It seems like I always reach my recommended grams of protein or go over, but still have lots of carbs and calories left for the day.

Well, in cats too much protein can lead to liver and kidney malfunction over long periods of time

I have also read this in a glossy magazine for humans.

Doesn't stop me going over my protein each day

There is if you have kidney problems. If not, then not so much otherwise there would be a ton of Akin's diet people in a hurt bag.

My Dr. recommends women to have 20grams 4 times a day. And he considers that to be an "adequate" level of protein.
