I simply hate the treadmill so I do it outdoors. Good luck! It's a good program.
  • I use to run I do prefer outside and any 5K I have been in have not been flat - usually hilly. So I will use the incline sometimes. The roads out by my house are pretty flat not hilly. I have to use the treadmill because my husband works a swing shift and I am usually here with the kids and they arent old enough to stay home by themselves. I get bored on the treadmill - its currently in front of tv and I have the display covered so I wont watch the time lol

I think its a good place to start. When I did the C25K years ago I started it on the threadmill and eventually wanted to start doing it outside the only problem was it was a huge set back when I went outside because of the inclines and curves and everything, I felt like I was starting over.

I am on week 2 doing it on the treadmill. Not yet in that place where I want to run in public. When I am doing the treadmill other times I use the incline because I live in a very hilly area and would lIke to run outside eventually and doing th treadmill flat isn't going to get me there.

I am doing C25K on the treadmill and I have made it to W5D3. I am thinking about incorporating a built-in course from the treadmill so I will be transition easier to outside when the weather breaks. I am hoping that will help and I am considering joining a running club. There are a few in my area.
