So, i started this in January ... i was losing every week.
I started going to the gym and doing the curcuit training at PF on March 31st and have added the elliptical 10 minutes before and after i am done with the training. New curcuit schedule is Monday/Wednesday and Friday and I still either do 30 minutes on the treadmill, or 30 minutes on the elliptical on my off gym days.
I have been taking a day of rest during the week, but in stead of working out i was house cleaning and doing yard work, so i figured that counted for something.
I have only gained a pound but you just never want to see the scale running in the wrong direction. I'm trying to tell myself that maybe i'm just gaining muscle weight ... but i have also been eating my calories almost to the max amount .... am I eating too much? Is this really muscle weight after only 3 curcuit training days? Or am i really just slacking??????
encouragement please!!!

water retention. drink your water, watch your sodium. You'd have to eat, what, 3500 calories OVER what you are burning in order to gain a pound? Not likely it's fat gain. Most likely water... maybe some muscle...0

I was also bummed out last month when I did my weigh in and had gained THREE lbs. I was sticking to my goals and when I got off the scale, went on a bender with egg plant parmissan for dinner and a huge icecream cone the next day.
The following night, I got my p. and then I when, "oh." About five days later I got on the scale again and not only had I lost the three extra lbs, but an extra 2 as well. This month, the same thing happened! Don't get discouraged, especially over one lb. Adopt4 is right, it could be a bunch of different things!0 -
When you change your routine to add differnt types of exercise, you should expect some whacky results for a few weeks, give your body time to adjust, it will settle.0

I so just want to say i am 120 something ... I want to get out of the 130's so badly.
I'm eating my calories ... sometimes sliding a bit over a day or two a week lately.
It's def not my girly thing because i'm on the mirana and i don't really get it anymore.
I'm so afraid because i'm picking up my chantix any day now and i want to quit smoking but i really only want to do that when i've been in the 120's for a few weeks.
**UGH***
Thanks Banks!!!
OH .. i meant to tell you .. i RAN on the treadmill for 5 minutes (4.9 mph) without slowing ... walked for about 2 minutes (4.5mph) and than RAN for 5 more last night. Wooo hooo!!! Building endurance slowly but surely.
I'll be taking you up on a once a week offer come mid-May probably!!0 -
