Figuring nutrition of home-made food from scratch

Holy cow! I just signed up and went to the food tracking section and am already overwhelmed. Isn't there an easier way? I eat mostly food I make from scratch and adding in each item with all the nutrition information required is quite daunting. Anyone have any suggestions so my food diary doesn't take up more time than it takes to cook & eat my food?

Under food, there's a tab for recipes. You can add everything up there, and it figures everything for you. It's a little bit time consuming until you get used to it, but I spend a few minutes every time I think of a recipe, or find a new one, and stick it in there. It actually helps me with planning!0
