I had depression for 8 years and am now finally better. I now finally feel happy about getting up each morning. Everything doesn't feel hopeless anymore.

But I was always dwelling on bad things in the past so listened to depressing songs, and now I want some upbeat, happy songs? (:

My first instinct was to say "Happy" - Yo Gabba Gabba

NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP.. that's always good.

I listen to a lot of music.. so Idk lol Sorry

I had depression problems to, so I totally get it. But some things seem happy to me that don't seem very happy to other people.

I get depressed easy and I've always used, what I consider to be, happy music as my remedy. And it's always been dance/electronic music because I like mentally illustrating people jumping around in my head like it's some crazy club or concert:

Here's a few of songs that keep me up:

"In My Mind" (Axwell Mix) by Ivan Gough & Feenixpawl Ft. Georgi Kay:

"Good Life" (Demolition Crew Remix) by OneRepublic::

"We Live For The Music" by Robbie Rivera:

There's plenty more but these are the first few that pop into my head

This^^ I know it sounds a little nerdy but I put a cd of this stuff in the car and it totally puts me in a great place on the way to work. It was sugested in the book "the artist's way" (or one of her other books....I can't quite remember). Small thing - big result.

Happy Boys and Girls, by Aqua. It's cheesy and it's 90s but it's still awesome. Also - Back To The 80s, Live Fast Die Young, If The World Didn't Suck, and No Party Patrol (all by Aqua - all new ones, 2011)

    In order of mention -

I was diagnosed with depression a few years ago and am now doing pretty fine. But it's so important for me to have a list of happy songs because they really help brighten my days :)
Here are some of them that I could remember from the top of my head:

Jet - Are You Gonna Be My Girl
Soul Bossa Nova, from the Austin Powers soundtrack
    The Cat Empire - Hello
    Duck Sauce - Barbra Streisand
One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful
Swingfly - Me And My Drum
    Teddybears STHLM - Cobrastyle
Relient K - Must Have Done Something Right
