I had depression for 8 years and am now finally better. I now finally feel happy about getting up each morning. Everything doesn't feel hopeless anymore.
But I was always dwelling on bad things in the past so listened to depressing songs, and now I want some upbeat, happy songs? (:

I get depressed easy and I've always used, what I consider to be, happy music as my remedy. And it's always been dance/electronic music because I like mentally illustrating people jumping around in my head like it's some crazy club or concert:
Here's a few of songs that keep me up:
"In My Mind" (Axwell Mix) by Ivan Gough & Feenixpawl Ft. Georgi Kay:http://youtu.be/SZW7cW2QKf0?t=1m4s
"Good Life" (Demolition Crew Remix) by OneRepublic::http://youtu.be/o9-SQoYzO5I
"We Live For The Music" by Robbie Rivera:http://youtu.be/hEnv97vXAOY?t=10s
There's plenty more but these are the first few that pop into my head0 -

This^^ I know it sounds a little nerdy but I put a cd of this stuff in the car and it totally puts me in a great place on the way to work. It was sugested in the book "the artist's way" (or one of her other books....I can't quite remember). Small thing - big result.0 -
Happy Boys and Girls, by Aqua. It's cheesy and it's 90s but it's still awesome. Also - Back To The 80s, Live Fast Die Young, If The World Didn't Suck, and No Party Patrol (all by Aqua - all new ones, 2011)
