recommended calories 2000 ???

I was looking at a food pack and saw we are recommended to eat 2000 calories a day for me at 5 ft 1 and if i was at goal weight (125lb) not doing any exercise that would mean i was over eating by 500 cals per day wich would equate to 1 pound a week gain ..... how can they say this i dont get it.

Its an average guide. And you need a bit more that your BMR if you're at all active.0
