Hi everyone. I've struggled for 10 years with my weight. I was never, ever thin apart from the one time I ate next to nothing after my first child and got skinny fat as I did no exercise. NOT a good look!

I gave birth to a beautiful boy in August of 2010, gave myself 4 weeks to just enjoy him and then it was time to take my journey down the road that would lead me to the body of my dreams! I joined weight watchers and quickly lost about 30lbs, I was also breastfeeding.

My life took a turn and I got back with my ex and basically forgot all about the diet. I gained some back but not as much as I could have due to the breastfeeding. As summer neared I realised I better get back on the horse and joined MFP and proceeded to lose my next 22lbs. This time I exercised (30 day shred) which I found out about on this site. I realised my body was looking better than when I just lost the weight and never exercised so I started looking into the best way to shape my body, and came across heavy lifting.

I am 4lbs away from my goal weight and I thought when I got here I would be so close to my dream body, I thought I would be near the end of my journey. But I am not. After looking at success pictures of female lifters I realised that THAT was what I had to do the get the body I want. It's not enough to just lose the weight, if you want to look good naked, at least ;-)

I'd dabbled with clean eating but found it rather hard to stay away from my processed treats, although at least 80% was clean. I've only been lifting for a week and adjusted my diet that long and as it requires a lower amount of carbs and higher protein, my diet has naturally got cleaner and is about to get a whole lot cleaner when I up my protein and calories and lower my carbs further. There is just no other way around it. So folks, if you want to start eating cleaner and build some muscle for that lean physique you've always dreamed of, I would say get serious about heavy lifting and the diet that is needed for your body to be able to benefit fully from your hard work! As I say I have only been at it just over a week and already it has become a hobby and a passion.

Search for before and afters on the Internet and they're lots on here too. It is hard NOT to be inspired by these pictures. I was amazed at the results and I'm going to make sure that I am one of those success' and that people are looking at my pics and think "Wow, I'm gonna get into lifting!"

I feel much better in terms of energy and never being bloated. I used to always end up bloated by the afternoon, I'm not even bloated by the evening now, that is a big thing for me! I just feel lighter as well and my skin looks so much better!

Well that was a bit longer than intended but I hope it will inspire someone to bite the bullet and take control of their level of success like never before!

Thanks for reading!
