I've been using MFP for the last 25 days, but for 14 days I stopped eating meat and bread as a fast. Now that the fast is over I'm lost. It's easier to pick up spontaneous foods than it was before. Tuna fish sandwiches I really enjoy but I know the mayo isn't the best for me. I bought 40 calorie bread and instead of using two tbsp of regular mayo I use half light mayo and half regular. I'm on vacation and I plan out my calories at the start of my day. Is this enough to keep on track because I'm not sure if the calorie counting helped me lose weight? I'm not sure if my initial weight loss is due to calorie counting or if it was the no meat and no bread.

  • Eating no bread and meat will definitly of helped and I find that using mfp for counting calories helps as well. It really helps me stay on track of how many calories iv ate and how many my body needs to function.

I really think MFP is good for calories but more so for balancing my bodies needs. Nutrients (anyone can keep under their calories) and exercise (I do pretty intense workouts so it is good for me to remember to eat more on those days).

You will need to get your protein - meat is handy for that. Bread is unnecessary, and fattening IMO.

All grains do is mess around with your insulin and leave you hanging with hunger!
