Muscle Gain or FAT?

So, last Sunday I weighed in at 4 pounds less than I weigh now. I'm not sure why I'm logging a 4 pound gain, but I am not happy with this at all. I know, slow and steady wins the race, but I hate seeing that number go up. I know that muscle mass is being built from my exercising, but it can't be building that fast to counteract my fat loss can it?
I exercise 2 times per week for about 1 hour and 30 minutes doing intense aerobics and I do 2 times per week moderate aerobics for about 45 minutes. I work with 5-10 pound weights for about 20 minutes during my intense aerobic workouts for strength training.

That is a lot of exercise, especially the 1.5 hour intense aerobics sessions. I wonder if maybe you're not getting enough water on those days?0

I haven't looked at your diary, but it's very likely neither. Most likely it's water. Weight will fluctuate for a million different reasons. Sodium intake, water intake, that time of the month, etc. I wouldn't worry about it too much

Neither...its water.
It's not fat because I'm assuming you are not going over your maintenance calories by an extra 2000 calories a day (based off you saying you gained 4 lbs in a week)
It's not muscle because being in a calorie deficit and using 5-10 lb weight during you aerobic exercise does not build muscle mass. That takes a caloric surplus and a proper, consistent heavy lifting routine. In addition, 4 lbs of muscle in a week is nearly impossible for a man. You are a women in a caloric deficit.0
