Exercise Calories and Sugar

I tried a search but was not finding anything.
Ok I understand eating back exercise calories but when exercising does it also give you extra on sugars?
I am type 2 and have to watch my sugars closely since I am this close >< to being on insulin says the doctor.
(Before anyone jumps on me about sugars on my food diary, please don't as it don't help when one jumps all over someone. I know most days are over MFP limits but I am still in a learning bracket here on eating healthier.:tongue:

    It does give you extra on carbohydrates, including sugars, but remember, MFP has no idea that you have diabetes. Listen to the experts who are helping you to manage your condition.
  • I dont rely on MFP for number crunching, I go by what Dr says. I was just wondering if when you exercise if you got extra sugars to use like you do the carbs and calories.

    I don't think MFP is that specific, I think they mostly focus on calories overall and not specific nutrients. I have heard that exercising can help stabilize your blood sugar some, but definitely talk to your doctor about things like that first.
  • The only three categories I've seen MFP change when you exercise are carbs, protein and overall fat. The others don't seem to change.

    Are you using a phone app? It changes everything I track on my computer. The 300 exercise calories I logged today increased the daily goal of sugar from 29 to 35.
  • :-( Only have a simple phone-someday will have those new fangled ones I hope.
