So.... Whenever I have a crappier eating day I see a bigger change on the scale... Whats up? I ate Hawaiian for yesterday, which was fried chicken (katsu), pulled pork, very greasy, chicken teriaki, and rice. It never get past like 1500 calories, but this morning im down .5 a pound. Most times when the scale moves Im down like 0.2 of a pound after going to the gym and eating healthier throughout the day. Last time I ate "crappy" it was going to golden corral. I ate healthier foods, but ALOT more of it. I ate fruit dipped in chocolate, a huge bowl of corn, mashed potatoes, a honey roll, 3 pieces chicken thigh, spinach with cheese, and more. It probably came out to about.... 1500-1700 calories. In the morning I woke up 2 pounds lighter.... No gym.

On a day that I eat Oatmeal for breakfast, green tea, soup for lunch, healthier meal for dinner, then go to the gym staying around 1200-1400 calories consumed. I see a 0.2 weightloss, if that...

Whats with this?

You need to eat more...on those "crappy" days, you're taking in more calories, and your body needs them. Try upping your daily calories by 100 or 200 and see if that helps.

Your body doesn't like constantly eating a set number of low calories, it's good to spike it once in awhile and keep your body confused. That way it doesn't get used to something.

You don't see actual weight loss changes the morning after a meal.

Because 1,200 calories is probably way below what you should be eating.

And please be aware that waking up two pounds lighter does not mean you have lost two pounds of actual body mass. That's not really possible. A shift of that magnitude in that time frame is going to be water/bowel content.

Understood. The scale never went back up the next day, or days to follow.

Kinda shows that you just need more calories than you think.

Water retention / regulation. Affected by your sodium and carb fluxuations, exercise habits and probably so many more variables at play in the human body.

^^^ yes. Basically, the body is way more complex than we can understand by just looking at the numbers going up and down on the scale. This is not your body's way of saying, "junk food is going to be your magic ticket to weight loss because you are somehow metabolically different than the rest of the world." Sorry :(

From what I understand, and I could be not understanding correctly, when we eat too little the hormones in your body prevent weight loss. When you eat more, suddenly the hormone levels relax and you can lose weight again. So the moral of the story is, you should be eating more.

Please explain eating crappy? A calorie is a calorie. Now, eating oatmeal and whole grain bread causes me to bloat. Would that be considered eating crappy?

I eat crappy 20% of the time. Fortunately I don't feel crappy doing it nor crappy after. In fact it's more probable that people who eat crap once in awhile actually keep weight off compared to those who drastically change to an all "natural" diet then crash and burn when they submit to eating a "crappy" meal somewhere down the line.
